Goodrington Sands
Goodrington Sands is a long sandy beach at Goodrington, a coastal village on the outskirts of Paignton, on the English Riviera. The gently shelved beach has a promenade at one end and rocks leading around to Oyster Cove at the other. With a Seaside Award, safe swimming conditions and loads of great activities, this family friendly beach promises to keep the kids happy whatever the weather. There’s so much to do here. Apart from the fantastic walks there are safe swimming and watersports. You can hire pedalos, paddle boats and there’s even windsurfing for beginners.
Paignton
One of the most beautiful places on the English Riviera, as you arrive you’ll get the best view of the easily accessible beach front, promenade, traditional pier and colourful beach huts. What’s great about Paignton is that it is a compact resort, with the seafront and town centre shops all within close proximity, making it an ideal Devon holiday resort for that special day out. Once you arrive, you don’t have to go far to sample the delights of South Devon, but of course there’s lots more to see and do in the area if you wish to get out and about and explore.
Torquay
A traditional, thriving seaside town set on Devon’s English Riviera coast and the top trending UK holiday destination in 2021. With its iconic palm trees, busy harbour, international marina, sandy beach and wonderful array of continental style cafés, restaurants and cocktail bars, the scene is set for the perfect Devon day out. This quintessential bucket and spade resort is one of Britain’s most booming seaside towns, undergoing a style revival with Michelin starred restaurants and swanky yachts!
Brixham
Perched on the bottom edge of Torbay, Brixham has retained all the charm of a traditional Devon fishing village. Enjoy the day’s catch with your chips. Spot seals and dolphins and have a go at mackerel fishing for yourself on a pleasure boat trip. Alternatively, simply sit back with your cream tea in one of the many eateries and take in the stunning views across the Bay. Brixham’s narrow streets wind up from the harbour and are lined with interesting little shops, where you’ll find locally made crafts, antiques and gifts, the perfect souvenir from your holiday. There’s also Berry Head nature reserve right on the door-step and access to miles of spectacular coast path.
